Part 1: Review Other Teams' final video projects

This video delves into the realm of deep fakes and AI-generated content, exploring their workings, current trends, and the potential risks they pose. The video presents real-life examples of how this technology has been used to exploit and misinform people, as well as its positive applications. Additionally, the team discusses the ethical considerations surrounding these technologies and the emergence of countermeasures to mitigate their misuse. The team’s presentation overall was great; it’s clear they put a lot of time into research for this project. They structured it well and provided an exceptional amount of detail. There was however a notable inconsistency in the audio and video.

It examines both the positive and negative influences of these algorithms, offering valuable insights into how we can mitigate their negative effects. Furthermore, the video provides actionable tips and suggestions for social media companies to enhance their algorithms and practices, ultimately leading to a more positive user experience. The team’s presentation was clear, engaging, and evident of significant effort and creativity. However, I found the excessive use of visuals somewhat distracting, and there was a noticeable inconsistency in the audio. 


OtterGaming: Computer Professional Video

This video explores the ethical dilemmas surrounding the development of autonomous weapons, raising questions such as who would be held accountable for fatal errors made by these robots. It presents arguments from both sides of the debate, including the potential benefits and risks of building such machines, as well as potential solutions. The team’s presentation was clear, well-structured, and engaging, utilizing effective visuals to enhance the viewing experience. It is evident that the team invested significant time and effort into crafting this informative and thought-provoking video. 


Part 2: Keep Up With Your Learning Journal

This class has imparted invaluable communication and collaboration skills that will be instrumental in my professional and academic endeavors. My team and I demonstrated effective communication and collaboration during this project. Moving forward, we will strive to maintain consistency in our presentations, ensuring that audio, video, and overall aesthetics are aligned.

 WEEK 6 Part 1: Help Your Teammates to Develop Capstone Ideas In this week’s team meeting, we discussed our capstone project ideas. Everyone in my team was undecided about whether they wanted to work alone or in a team for the capstone. One of the intriguing capstone ideas was a medicine management system with potential applications in nursing homes. We also divided the workload for the upcoming video project.   Part 2: Keep Up With Your Learning Journal CST 349 For one of our assignments we developed a ILP portfolio website where we will store a portfolio of major assignments and projects we complete in each course through the program.
